it's not just a number plate.

while the crowd is aggressively seeking for safe haven for their cash to be put, or for their cash to be grown in two or more folds, the investment instrument is always the issue, but what does dennis realizes is, the first thought of most of the crowd may be stocks, which is a common term in united kingdom, shares, which is commonly called in united states, or, to show professionalism, we categorize them as equity market, and now, it sounds better, but strange to many...

well the terms are not worth to be discussed, dennis has to stress on perception of general public, perception on what can they do to grow their net worth? to be fair, dennis has to declare that he is not a person that is wise in earning money or even has great wisdom in field of investment, the purpose of this particular post is to suggest an investment, which general public may have overlooked it's future value, when they only focus on their current purpose, which does not seem to bring an immediate value to owner, this is the point of interest, are there any other alternative investment? which means, other than equities, mutual funds or ETF...

here is the quote of definition from wikipedia,
"Investing is the active redirecting resources from being consumed today so that they may create benefits in the future; the use of assets to earn income or profit."
so do you think that u have narrow sight on investment?

let's see, what can you spot from this eye-catching picture....

this is a cool brand new nissan GTR, which costs buyer about a million ringgit from naza world, to be a remark, the price is valid during the launching period, and dennis doesn't know about the current price.

while all the visions are attracted by the outstanding racing machine, the spot which has been left out is, which dennis expects will be a wise, alternative and indeed, gainsaying investment, is the "WRC 1" vehicle registration number, why does dennis says so?

if you are a motor-fans , or if u are addicted to luxurious imported cars which are sold in mofaz or naza world, you should have noticed that, the price of a re-conditioned japanese or european car, which indicates the depreciation of the price of the machine itself, when it's compared with the selling price of brand new unit from authorized importer.

meanwhile, if you have enthusiasm to identify your vehicle with extremely nice plate number, or have been involved in open tender of vehicle registration number, market price of a single digit plate number will not be a strange number to you, for instance, the latest hottest topic in this field of luxurious vehicle identification are "JJJ 1 for RM150,000" and "TAN 1 for RM200,000"...

to give a better resolution, what does dennis intends to mean is, a special vehicle registration number, which is short in length, containing hidden meaning and high in selling price, is always be considered as a course of luxurious solely, but the hidden value behind it, which is, at least to be value preservation, if there is no value appreciation, please to bear in mind that, special vehicle numbers are similar to antique, in terms of price trend, which is always to be more expensive as it becomes more ancient, meanwhile the initially expensive racing machine will keep on depreciating in value, this is in greater extent if the purchased car ia a chevrolet, alfa romeo, citroen or peugeot, which are european brands that are not highly appreciated in malaysia...

so now isn't owning a special plate number a good counter-inflation method? beside being an identification of some high-pofile persons, shall we consider to categorize it as alternative investment, instead of showing-off of rich big-daddys? by now, hopefully in blog readers' mind, investment is not just buying of securities in equity or debt markets, it can be any course that can make future profit, chinese tea and liquor are another good, fast emerging options as alternative investment, which is as stated in definition of "investment". you may not agree with dennis, but it may be fact...

finally, dennis got his very own one, it means his day of birth =) moderately nice and reasonably priced, with hope of some future value.

yes, that was his full name, saw it on the announcement board at the road transportation department in ipoh, he was extremely excited when he had successfully bid it.
